Scheduled Maintenance

Scheduled Network Maintenance: December 18, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Dec 18, 2025 18:00-20:00 EST

On Thursday, December 18, Information Technology (IT) will perform a planned network update starting at 6:00 p.m. and ending before 8:00 p.m.

Impacted Services:
The entire GGC internal network will be down during this update, including GGC desk phones, printers, wireless, and computers.
• VPN access to GGC will not be available.
• Public Safety will remain available via their main number: 678.407.5333.

Non-Impacted Services:
The following services will be available from off-campus locations only:
• Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint), GGC public websites, and MyCourses.
• Grizzly Den (Banner), OneUSG Connect and GeorgiaFirst self-service will be available; services that require VPN will not be available.

Completed - MySQL Production Server maintenance has been completed.

Scheduled - In order to address security vulnerabilities, IT needs to upgrade the MySQL production server. The maintenance has been scheduled for tonight (12/11/2025) starting at 10 pm and is expected to be completed by 11 pm. During this time, GGC locally hosted applications e.g. Housing Check-in, Mentor's App, Class Picture Book etc. may experience outage or degraded performance.

We will provide an update when the maintenance is completed.

Scheduled - GGC's Degree Works vendor (Ellucian) will perform Cloud (Operating System) Patching on Saturday, December 6, 2025, beginning at 10:00 pm, through 4:00 am the following day.


The Degree Works application will not be available during this scheduled maintenance window.
